BITTER FRACTION GROUPS

The Aloe ferox sap is harvested from the wild and brought back to our factory to be processed for bitter fraction

Depending on the product you’re manufacturing, we offer Bitter Fraction Aloe in two  forms, Aloe lump and spray-dried bitter powder, which is then further processed into smaller categories.

  1. Bitter spray-dried powder

Partly soluble in hot water

Used for –

  • Animal Care – Treating livestock with gastrointestinal parasites and ringworm infestations. 
  • Cosmetics – Facial products
  • Food – Juices and beverages 
  • Health – Medicines and supplements 

Warning
The bitter powder has a strong laxative effect and should not be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women.

  1. Bitter lump crystals

Bitter lump crystals are formulated from the Aloe ferox sap. Through evaporation, the sap is concentrated and crystallises when cool, leaving lumps or crystals behind which are ready to be processed. 

Used for:

  • Health – Medicines and supplements
  • Animal care – Antiparasitic remedies for livestock 

Warning
This product has a strong laxative effect and is not to be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. 

  1. Bitter lump granules

Used in cattle feed and water as a supplement for livestock.

  1. Bitter lump powder

Organic Aloe is the only producer of bitter lump powder. This is a spray-dried, bitter sap that is tapped from the leaves and milled to produce a coarse dark brown / black powder. 

Used for:

  • Animal care – Livestock shampoos and licks
  • Skincare – Creams and lotions 
  • Cosmetic – Facial products 
  • Food – Juices and beverages 
  • Health –  Medicines and supplements

Warning
This product has a strong laxative effect and is not to be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women and children.
Bitter lump powder does not dissolve as fast in warm water as it does cold water.
